WORKSHOPS ORGANISED

We believe nothing helps deepen and spread knowledge as effectively as sharing it. Hence dissemination and exchange of knowledge is one of Roopam’s primary objectives. Our artist residency programs, in-house classes as well as workshops for institutions are all developed on this principle.

Some examples are outlined below:

SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY

A one day intensive workshop was conducted for the 1st year architecture students of Sathyabama University. During the conceptual stage of their residential design project, the students were taught to construct clay models of their built forms using hand building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab. Some students went deeper to bring their imagined forms to reality and others began to experiment further with their forms. The models were then fired and displayed.
